About the congress
The 2nd European Congress on Disinformation and Fact-Checking, organized by UC3M MediaLab, will take place on October 29-30, 2025, under the subtitle "Beyond 2025: Emerging threats and solutions in the global information ecosystem". This event will address the growing need to study disinformation and fact-checking in the media and public discourse in the context of technological advancements, focusing on critical topics such as artificial intelligence, social media influence, civic engagement, and crisis communication. The congress will bring together a diverse group of experts, academics, journalists, policymakers, and professionals to engage in meaningful discussions, share knowledge, and explore innovative strategies to combat disinformation and improve fact-checking practices.
