Global Health Communication Conferences: Uniting Experts in Public Health and Media

Members of UC3M MediaLab organized three international conferences on Health Communication in 2013, 2015, and 2017. These conferences brought together a diverse range of experts and organizations to discuss and advance the field of health communication across various areas, including health journalism, media coverage of health issues, misinformation on health topics, interpersonal communication, digital health communications, eHealth, and public health promotion and prevention campaigns.

The conferences received support from key organizations such as the World Health Organization, Spain's Ministry of Health, and universities worldwide. They attracted over 1,000 delegates from approximately 25 countries, with a particular focus on Europe and Latin America.
