Luis Miguel Romero Rodríguez is an Associate Professor of Strategic Communication and Public Relations in the Faculty of Communication at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid, Spain). Professor Romero-Rodríguez holds a PhD in Communication. Master’s in social communication. PGCert in International Law and Politics and University Teaching. Degree in Social Communication with specialization in Corporate Communication and Bachelor’s in Law. He has published over 90 articles in high-impact scientific journals and has been the editor and author of several publications in prestigious publishing houses, such as Pearson, McGraw Hill, and Tecnos. In addition, Luis M. Romero-Rodríguez has 16 years of teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programs and has taught at universities in Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, and Peru. He was the General Director of Extension and Community Services at Santa María University (Venezuela) between 2007 and 2010. Romero-Rodríguez has been a research associate in several R&D projects and grants in Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela, including international and European projects. Professor Romero-Rodríguez has been awarded several prizes for his scientific and professional career, such as the Napolitan Victory Awards 2021 (The Washington Academy) in the category "Academic research of the year,” the Index.Comunicación 2021 Award, the 2021 Award for the best communication in the "Corporate Social Responsibility" category, awarded by the International Association on Public and Non-Profit Marketing, the Roblón 2020 Award in the category "Emerging Communication Researcher,” the URJC Innovative Teachers 2020 Award, in the categories "Covid-19 Mention" and "Good Teaching Practices,” and the Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2015 in the "Social and Legal Sciences" category, awarded by the University of Huelva. He is a founding member of the High-Performance Research Group in Health Communication (HealthComm) at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, having been head professor of the Master's Degree in Health Communication at the same university.
